Preparation & Serving Tips
-
Sweetness
For a more concentrated or sweeter tea, you can simmer it longer – up to 3 hours. You may also adjust the amount of water to suit your personal taste.
-
Ginger
Ginger is great for warming the body and supporting digestion. Add it on some days to vary the flavour and enhance its warming effect.
-
Herbs
Enjoy the herbs together with the tea – especially the red dates, black dates, preserved dates, dried longan and wolfberries. They’re delicious and nourishing. You can also use the back of a ladle or spoon to gently press the dates – this helps release more of their natural sweetness into the tea.
-
Heatiness
These teas are warming in nature, supporting the body when it is cold after pregnancy. However, each body is different, and if you notice signs of internal heat such as a sore throat or mouth ulcers, reduce intake to every other day.
-
Flow Through Your Teas
Each of the three teas offers slightly different benefits, so it’s best to cycle through them rather than drinking the same one every day.
-
Consume Fresh
For best results, consume the tea on the same day. If you’re not drinking it immediately, store it in a thermal flask to keep it warm and fresh.
